My World Tour that takes me to Ryerson next week continues tomorrow here at York. I am on a panel here at York with Diane Zorn and Timothy Hudson that deals with the use of technology and social media in university teaching. Diane does some pretty cool things, including podcasting her lectures so students can watch on their i-pods and i-pads. As far as I know, York does not make use yet of the I-Tunes U. But I watched a full lecture from Cornell the other day on I-Tunes on American Labor History that was pretty cool. I already make videos of my lectures, so I’m intrigued by this.
Anyhow, if you are around York, you can drop in to hear this talk. Here is the flyer and line up for tomorrow’s panel.
With all this touring, I should sell t-shirts. The slogan on it will read: “Toronto Elite, And Proud of it!” [That’s a political joke that some of you that read newspapers will get]
Tomorrow: Doorey on Academic Blogging, Wikis, and Second Life
