I’m always trying to pass along new resources for workplace law and scholarship.
There’s a great new book on labour law that includes chapters by some of the fields’ biggest international heavyweights (see my post on how to find many of the papers written by these authors), including Harry Arthurs, Bob Hepple, Hugh Collins, Katherine Stone, Catherine Barnard, Manfred Weiss, Mark Freedland, Brian Langille, Michael Piore, and on and on. The book is called The Idea of Labour Law, edited by Guy Davidov and Brian Langille. Here is the official flyer for the book, which includes a 20 percent discount.
Also, while I’m on the topic of new resources, check out this great new page from Oxford University on labour and employment law. I’ve added it to my blogroll. It includes sources of information on workplace law for Canada, Britain, the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand, as well as historical references and comparative workplace law. [I note that the brilliant Oxford librarians included my blog as one of the free sources on Canadian labour and employment law!]
