I am Chairing a panel at this Friday’s interesting and timely workshop on the future of collective bargaining, and prospects for labour law reform in the broader public sector. The workshop is hosted by Queens University’s Centre for Law in the Contemporary Workplace.

This workshop brings together many of the leading labour relations and labour law experts and industrial relations leaders to consider the prospects for policy reform in industrial relations in the Ontario broader public sector, in light of the recent Drummond Commission Report on the reform of Ontario’s public services and the recent Ontario budget.
The workshop will consider:
? Basic challenges and pressures on the current industrial relations system ? Significant areas where the industrial relations system would benefit from reform ? Constitutional restrictions on government action and reform
The Keynote Luncheon address will be given by Don Drummond. Check out the line up of top-tier speakers, including academics, union leaders, leading labour lawyers (from both management and labour sides), and economists.
