by David Doorey April 25, 2011
written by David Doorey April 25, 2011

Be the first one on your street to download the Free Doorey’s Workplace Law APP!  Get it now before the price goes up  (Ok, just kidding about that).
Doorey’s Workplace Law Blog is now available as a FREE I-Tunes app, for your I-Phone, I-Pad, and I-Pod.  Here is the I-Tunes page for downloading the App, or just go to the App Store on your Apple device and search “Doorey”. The App will feed you all new blog entries, and allow you to link to the cases, news stories, and other external links I refer to in my blog entries.   I intend to focus even more on developments in case law with this new App, to help keep readers informed of what is happening in the field of Workplace Law.  Please let me know if you hear of any interesting cases  or stories that others might be interested in.
Doorey’s Workplace Law APP has the following categories:

Home:  Brings you back to the main page.
Twitter:  Connects you to my regular Twitter feeds on workplace law and policy issues
Human Rights: Connects to all Blog stories dealing with Human Rights issues
Workplace Law:  Connects to all Blog stories dealing with Employment Law (common law and statute law) and Labour Law (law of the unionized workplace)
Comments:   Shows interesting Comments left by readers.  So here’s your chance to enter the App-os-phere.

This is a great way to keep up with current events in workplace law, industrial relations, human resources, and human rights in the workplace, quick and easy, sent directly to your device.  This is Version 1.0, so please free to send along any suggestions for improvements.   Hopefully those of you are interested enough to add this App will find it entertaining and informative  Positive reviews are also extremely welcome   🙂
My great thanks to Oksana Silkina and Alex Neumann of York University’s e-Services Office for their hard work in helping to build this app and getting it to market.

@TheLawofWork @OFLabour Thanks for giving me space on your blog last December to bloviate and whine about this broad topic: https://lawofwork.ca/james_whysoquiet/

It is rather striking that the @OFLabour is not leading a charge for improved access to collective bargaining.

Emphasizing improved labor standards over collective bargaining rights.

Private sector union membership is slipping. Ways to address that could include better rights for employees to form unions (as BC has done) or building a broader-based bargaining system for franchise workers. But those aren't in this list of goals from Ontario's union federation. https://twitter.com/OFLabour/status/1559242326391791616
