Professor Paul Secunda from Marquette Law School in Milwaukee will be discussing the events that occurred in Wisconsin over the past year, where a very right wing Governor (Scott Walker) launched an all out assault on labour rights of public sector workers. Perhaps to his surprise, Wisconsins rebelled, senators fled the jurisdiction, and an unprecedented successful recall movement emerged, gathering over 1 million signatures seeking a recall election to remove Governor Walker and some other Republican Senators that supported the laws.

By the way, Paul is in town to teach a course on American labor law in the Osgoode LLM program in labour and employment law.
