Apply to Osgoode Hall`s LLM in Labour & Employment Law

I have the honour of taking over from Professor Bernie Adell as the new Director of Osgoode Hall Law School`s Executive Masters of Law program in Labour & Employment Law.   The program is accepting applications now for Fall 2010.
This is a part-time Masters degree, with one or two courses offered a term, usually in intensive blocks of time.  For example, many classes run Thursday to Sunday, 9-5, and then the course is done, except for assignments.  Other courses are taught on weekends over a period of 4 months (like for Saturdays).  This enables practicing lawyers and other professionals to organize their schedules to attend the classes.
The program is principally directed at practicing labour and employment lawyers, but there are also lawyers from other disciplines and even some non-lawyers in the program.  Since we assume the students already know the basics of the law, the philosophy of the program is to expose students to the academic, theoretical, historical, and comparative aspects of the law.  This is an opportunity for practitioners to take a break from the day to day practice of the law and spend some time thinking about the law in a broader context.   Some of our LLM students have also used the program as a stepping stone into further academic studies, such as Ph.D work.
Here is the program flyer, which is currently being updated, but the basics are there.  The courses will be similar to those listed, but some minor changes may be made.  We are working on the plan right now.  There are top notch professors teaching in the program, including confirmed so far, Michael Lynk and Gillian Demeyere from Western Law School, Ron Davis from UBC, Kevin Banks from Queens Law School, and myself of course.  There is also a regular stream of prominent guest speakers from the labour and employment law community.
