May Cheng (aka my spouse) Makes Leap to Osler's IP Group

Big news on the home front:
My super amazing spouse, May Cheng, is joining Osler’s intellectual property group.   May is one of Canada’s leading intellectual property lawyers.  This is a great hire for Osler, which is known on Bay Street as having an especially supportive environment for senior women lawyers.  That promises to be great fit for May.
Among her greatest accomplishments is Chapter 32 of my new book, The Law of Work,  entitled “Intellectual Property Law and Work” (okay, probably not among her greatest accomplishments, but it is a great chapter).
I have posted some of her accomplishments before:

On her induction into the University of Ottawa Law Common Law Honour Society.

On her receiving the 2016 President’s Award from the Women’s Law Association of Ontario.

May Cheng: 2016 Recipient of the Women's Law Association of Ontario, Joins Osler's

The WLAO President’s Award recognizes a woman who has made a substantial contribution to the legal community and as a recognized leader, demonstrates a commitment to the promotion of women in the law.

Previous President’s Award Recipients include Supreme Court Justices Bertha Wilson and Louise Arbour, Law Society Treasurer Janet Minor,  law professors Constance Backhouse and Marilyn Pilkington, The Barbara Schlifer Clinic, and our friends Avvy Go and Mary Eberts.

Don’t forget to send her your legal work and I’ll try to haggle a Law of Work discount!  She has a hungry spouse, two hungry children, and one hungry Australian Labradoodle to feed.

May can now be reached at:  mcheng@osler.com
It goes without saying we are very proud of her around the house.
