I will be at an interesting panel discussion this Wednesday at the U. of Toronto Rotman School of Management named after the late John Crispo. There is a trade panel and then a labour panel. The labour panel will be considering current labour policy challenges and is moderated by Professor Anil Verma of U. of Toronto, and includes:
Buzz Hargrove, former President of the CAW
Rick Macdowell, former Chair of the Ontario Labour Relations Board
Bob Rae, Member of Parliament and former Premier of Ontario
Unfortunately, there appears to be a fee because the forum include a dinner. I’m not sure if the fee is waived for students who do not attend dinner, but perhaps if you are a student and interested, you could contact Rotman and find out. Here is the registration information.
The festivities begin at 2 p.m. at the Fleck Atrium at Rotman, 105 St. George Street (South of Bloor).
